آسام کے وزیر اعلی ہیمنت بسوا سرما نے ریاست میں مسلم کمیونٹی کے درمیان شادیوں اور طلاقوں کی لازمی سرکاری رجسٹریشن کے لئے ایک بل کا اعلان کیا ہے۔ Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has announced a bill requiring compulsory government registration of marriages and divorces among the Muslim community in the state. یہ فیصلہ ریاستی کابینہ کے اجلاس کے دوران کیا گیا اور مسلم شادی رجسٹریشن بل 2024 کا مقصد یہ یقینی بنانا ہے کہ مسلم شادیوں کی رجسٹریشن کا انتظام حکومت کرے ، نہ کہ قاضی ، اور 18 سال سے کم عمر کی شادیوں کی رجسٹریشن پر پابندی عائد کرے۔ The decision was made during a state cabinet meeting and the Muslim Marriage Registration Bill 2024 aims to ensure that Muslim marriage registrations are conducted by the government, not Kazis, and prohibits marriage registrations below the age of 18. یہ بل 22 اگست سے شروع ہونے والے ریاستی اسمبلی کے اجلاس میں پیش کیا جائے گا۔ The bill is set to be introduced in the upcoming state assembly session starting from August 22.
